My husband and I tried for over a year for our second baby and were referred to the fertility clinic at St. Albans. Through an ultrasound, Mr. Borase identified that I had signs of potential endometriosis. In reviewing our case of unexplained fertility, he offered this as a possible cause and laid out the range of options to us; from seeking ivf privately, other assisted conception methods, right through to getting a diagnostic laparoscopy to confirm endo. He had an excellent manner, was friendly, clear and helped us understand the choices. We thought about it and went for a laparoscopy, which had a three month wait list. Mr. Borase performed the surgery himself at Watford General, the procedure went very well and again he briefed me really clearly before and after the procedure. He treated the endo and removed some cysts. Three weeks after the surgery, we conceived naturally!!! After two years of trying by the time we had the lap, I had truly given up hope of a natural BFP. We are now looking forward to a new baby and without Mr. Borase amazing skill, we certainly wouldn’t have achieved this naturally. We are so pleased to have been able to meet such a fantastic doctor and surgeon through our NHS, and if you find yourself in similar circumstances to us then know that in Mr. Borase care you have every reason to hope for a great outcome too. We are eternally grateful!

I first saw Dr Borase on the NHS and he diagnosed me as suffering with endometriosis and polyps. He offered excellent advice and performed a successful procedure to treat the issues. Dr Borase was amazing. He is extremely knowledgable, understanding and reassuring. He always listened to me and checked that I understood the treatment plan and was happy with it. Because if this, when we decided to have IVF Dr Borase was the obvious choice. We saw him privately as we did not qualify for IVF on the NHS. The IVF process is extremely stressful but Dr Borase helped keep me calm and focused with his warm, friendly and professional approach. His humour helped too! We feel extremely lucky to be able to confirm that we have just welcomed a baby boy after one round of IVF. Without the care and support of Dr Borase baby Harry wouldn’t be with us. Thank you for everything Dr Borase.

Mr Borase took the time to understand my history and concerns and to thoroughly explain my available options. I left feeling armed with the information needed to consider and make an informed decision about what treatment option I wanted to follow. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Mr Borase has been extremely supportive during my pregnancy. I came to see Mr Borase initially regarding fertility and since I became pregnant naturally Mr Borase has always reassured me and answered my questions very quickly and put me at ease. Thank you very much for all your help.

Myself and my husband met Dr Borase at the fertility clinic in St Albans following several years of infertility issues. He suggested a few different options but was confident in the surgery to help me conceive naturally. I hadn't heard of ovarian drilling before but was told the success rate was very high for patients with PCOS. I had the surgery which went smoothly and to my shock Dr Borase found much more wrong than we had first thought. He treated me there and then for Level 3 endometriosis, removed a cyst and freed an ovary which was stuck to the fallopian tube. This was 31st May. I am currently 17 weeks pregnant and must have fell at the first attempt after surgery. Just amazing. I can't thank him enough for his support, guidance and excellent work. Many thanks Laura & Jason Meredith
